One year has passed and what a year it’s been! I know that for many, 2016 was a year that they’d rather let pass by and fade into the past. However, 2016 was a year of so many amazing and great things for our family, namely our dear daughter Brielle was born.

I remember the day I went into labor with her. We had been anxiously awaiting her arrival, especially after her brothers incredibly quick entrance into this world. I was so concerned that my labor with her would be fast and intense, so we scooted to the hospital much earlier this time. Although my labor (birth story here) took longer to progress, once it did, she came in like a whirlwind and hasn’t stopped since.

I feel like this year flew by in a flash. It felt more like one month than one year and I hope that I can sear all those precious baby moments in my mind. I quickly see her emerging into an independent toddler, trying as hard as she can to keep up with her older brother (and biggest fan). I stare at her in wonder as she takes on this world at full force, with no qualms and with a determination unrivaled. For our little baby wonder, we had to celebrate with a Winter One-derland party! Since her and Aiden’s birthdays are so close, we hosted a joint birthday party. It was great to see friends and family, despite the fact that the flu knocked out more than half our guests! 🙁

Decorations (courtesy of Oriental Trading)

We were able to pick out the cutest decorations from Oriental Trading for the party. The hanging snowflakes and lanterns were so fun for the kids and we all absolutely loved the adhesive snowflakes for the floor (they were super easy to put on and came off with no adhesive remaining).

We picked out a huge image backdrop of a winter wonderland and it was so much fun to snap photos of our guests with the winter themed photo props. Oriental Trading has so many backdrops to choose from for every theme!

Brielle’s Outfit (courtesy of Adeline Rose Boutique)

Brielle’s outfit is my absolute favorite thing in the world! Seriously, absolutely darling! I worked with Masha at Adeline Rose Boutique to design her personalized leotard, tutu, crown, “one” cake topper and the sash behind her high chair. I can’t wait to share the cake smash photos we got with her wearing the outfit (posting later this week)! Whether you are looking for a first birthday outfit, wedding/bridal, half birthdays, holidays or photo props, Adeline Rose Boutique has something for everyone (you can choose colors and options to have a fully customized product).

CAKE!

You could say the cake was a hit! It’s no surprise that she jumped right into that cupcake. I could barely even set it down before she launched into destroying it! LOL.

Be sure to check out the awesome companies that helped me put together such a fun and memorable party.
