Just the other week has a major freak out moment. My phone randomly shut off and wouldn’t turn back on. Immediately I realized that if I wasn’t able to get my phone working again that I would have lost nearly all the pictures from the past year: my daughter’s birth, her newborn and infant photos, family vacations, my son’s birthday party and toddler pictures, EVERYTHING! I felt like sobbing when I realized that I may have lost all those precious photos. Thankfully, I was able to get my phone working again, but immediately realized that I couldn’t risk losing those photos and had to have a back up plan.

I did a little research and heard about a new service offered from Amazon for their Prime members, Amazon Prime Photos. Primes Photos is a photo storage and sharing service and app from Amazon that makes preserving and sharing photos and videos easy and quick. Prime Photos is FREE for all Prime members so I was thrilled to download the app and give it a try!

Prime Photos benefits including unlimited storage of photos, plus an additional 5 GB for videos and other files. Prime Photos allows you to collect and organize photos from different devices, computers and family members. You can auto-save photos and videos from your phone to the app automatically so you don’t have to worry about losing photos even if your phone is lost or damaged. It also allows you to delete photos off your phone so you can free up space on your phone.

With the Family Vault, you can invite up to 5 other family or friends to join, With the all-new Family Vault, bringing family photos together in one easy to access portal. I love this option since my husband and I always are searching through each others phones for photos. Now we can easily upload and back them up in one place. You can even easily search through photos by keywords with Smart Search technology (if you search for weddings, it will pull all photos associated with a wedding) or even by location or date.

You can also easily use Amazon Prints seamlessly on the web from their Prime Photos account. You can order prints, photo books, cards, and calendars (perfect gifts) easily and with free shipping as well.

Be sure to download the Prime Photos app here to safeguard all your photos. I can’t imagine how terrible I would have felt to have lost all those photos. I feel so much more comforted knowing that all my photos are stored and backed up with Prime Photos.
