It’s not often (read: never) that we get a warm and sunny February day in Michigan. When we saw that temperatures were going to be in the mid 60’s and sunny (albeit windy), we took advantage of the warm day and headed out to explore downtown Flint a bit. We’ve been itching to hit up the Flint Farmer’s Market and wanting to try the crepes at Flint Crepe Company. We’ve all been so cooped up in the house that some fresh air, sunshine and good food was exactly what we needed to power us through the last few weeks of winter. Not only was I excited to get outside, but I’ve been dying to try out our newest stroller, an Evenflo Pivot Travel System.

First off, I think that this stroller is a beauty to look at – the color is great, it’s sleek and timeless. I absolutely love the versatility of this stroller and wish that had this when my kids were younger. One of the greatest things about this stroller is that it has 3 reversible modes for the stroller seat: the typical forward facing, rear-facing towards you and it can be laid back into a bassinet mode. The bassinet position would have been absolutely wonderful for those early days when babies nap all the time and I love that I can have it rear facing so that I can see my sweeties face as we cruise, especially on those days that she’s attached to me like velcro (happy baby = happy mama). Like other travel systems, you can also use the infant car seat as well.

Speaking of car seats, the Pivot Modular Travel System also includes the Evenflo SafeMax Infant Car Seat. Although we are past the infant car seat stage, the SafeMax car seat has great crash rating reviews and has an anti-rebound bar that is perfect for limiting the amount of rebound in the event of a frontal impact crash.

As you can see, the Pivot has a large canopy to provide ample shade when out and about. The carriage below the stroller is huge! I’ve always struggled with being able to fit our diaper bag underneath previous strollers, but this stroller easily accommodated our large diaper bag, coats and camera.

The Pivot stroller easily maneuvers and I was pleasantly surprised how easily I could move it when in tight quarters and busy areas. My kids LOVE how much higher that they sit in this stroller too. Most strollers sit quite low to the ground and my kids were always arching up high to see (the zoo is the worst as the containment walls always blocked their views). With this stroller they sit significantly higher and I feel like they enjoy the ride much more. Also, it folds super easy and is lightweight. I can easily lift and fit it into the trunk of our car without feeling like I’m wrestling and struggling to fit it in. Major win!

We had a great time checking out all the fun shops and foods at the Flint Farmer’s Market. It’s truly a great place to go grab some fresh veggies and the people watching is always entertaining. Our first time at the Flint Crepe Company was delicious (although a rocky start with cranky and hungry kiddos). We all gobbled down our yummy crepes (the Monte Cristo and Reuben were fabulous).

I definitely would check out the Evenflo Pivot Stroller system if you’re on the search for a new stroller, especially for those of you with young children. The versatility for the stroller seat sold me ASAP, I love the clean and sleek look of it, and it’s so easy to navigate.

Were you blessed with gorgeous spring-like weather this week?

I’m loving this teaser of spring!
