This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Chuck E. Cheese’s. The opinions and text are all mine.

My kids have been obsessed with Chuck E. Cheese from their first visit. The first time we took them several years ago, I remember seeing my oldest eyes light up and his mouth drop open in awe. When I was growing up, Chuck E. Cheese was the place to go for special events and a major event. We didn’t go very often, but when we did, it was a big deal. That nostalgia has come full circle being able to relive some of those memories through my kids now. Whether it’s birthday parties or just a fun weekend adventure, Chuck E. Cheese is a definitely favorite for my kids.

Recently we checked out the newly remodeled Chuck E. Cheese in Saginaw (5105 Bay Road Saginaw, MI 48604) and I was so impressed with all the changes that have been made. They’ve had a major redesign with some much needed updates that are major wins for families of all sizes and ages! Check out more below to learn about the awesome remodel and updates that are making Chuck E. Cheese a more fun and enjoyable experience for the entire family!

3 Awesome Chuck E. Cheese Updates You Need to Know About

Modern Look and Feel

The new modern design is so much more soothing and adult-friendly on both the interior and exterior! The exterior has a major facelift and they ditched the red and purple for a softer green and wood tone facade while still paying homage to the “swiss cheese” and pepperoni exterior of past stores.

The interior is a mix of muted colors, wood tones and brighter lighting that combine for a more inviting and calming atmosphere. The interior has a more of a restaurant feel with a better layout for families by allowing a clear view of the interactive dance floor/stage (more on that below) and the surrounding game area to be able to sit and see your children more clearly as they enjoy everything.  The ultimate goal is to make Chuck E. Cheese as much as an option for a family dinner out as other restaurants that everyone in the family can enjoy and the new design is such an improvement. Aside from being more aesthetically pleasing, the sound level is so much less and you don’t feel like you are having to yell over noise to be heard. It was a busy evening when we visited and we easily were able to sit down and have a conversation as we ate without chaos.

For those who visited Chuck E. Cheese in the past, the robotic characters are gone and replaced with an awesome interactive floor that my kids LOVED and live costumed characters. While they still have their hourly dance party and birthday celebrations on the dance floor with characters, it’s so much more fun for the kids to get up there and interactive with the characters and each other. It’s a great community space for kids from different families to gather to play and have fun. In between the performances, kids would be jumping, dancing and laughing on the floor together as they hopped from one lily pad to another.

All You Can Play

Their new “All You Can Play” system is one of my absolute favorite updates! With All You Can Play, you can purchase a set amount of time for kids to play arcade games.  The time is loaded on a card or wristband (which are super cute and prevent them from losing cards) that they simply tap on the games to begin play. Starting at only $10, kids (and parents) can play games and collect tickets non-stop without worry of running out of coins. This is especially great when you have kids of different ages as they all play at varying speeds and different games so you don’t have to worry about someone running out of tickets before the other kids and dealing with whining and tantrums. To make it even better, you can pause play when needed to take bathroom breaks or eat.

Each location has a wide selection of games for each level too (we had over a dozen new games at the Saginaw location!). There’s something for everyone no matter their interest or age so that they whole family can play and have fun together. And for your ticket loving kiddos…don’t worry! They’ve kept the nostalgic tickets so that kiddos can turn them in for fun prizes at the end of play.

Fresh Food

Chuck E. Cheese has taken a major focus on the food and it shows! While they offer pizza, they’ve increased their menu to offer a little bit of everything: pizza, sandwiches, wings, salad bar, dessert and beverages. Fresh food is taking center stage with in-house made pizza dough, fresh veggies/fruit (they cut all their produce daily) and even grate their own cheese for the salad bar and pizza. The salad bar was loaded with lots of great options and I absolutely am a fan of seeing that they are offering some healthier options (they even have cauli-pizza!) to encourage kids and families to eat more mindfully.

The new open kitchen allows for families to have a sneak peek to watch their pizzas being made and baked for full transparency. After you’ve visited the self-service kiosk to order food, they’ll give you a beeper to let you know when you food is done. The vibrating beepers are perfect by alerting you when your pizza is done so you can enjoy it hot and fresh!

The lunch buffet (offered Monday-Friday from 11am to 3 pm) is so perfect for running off energy on those rainy days. Bring in the kids to play and grab lunch while you’re there.

It’s obviously that Chuck E. Cheese really took the time to understand and reflect on what their patrons want and need. The new changes and updates have transformed Chuck E. Cheese into more than just an arcade hall. The atmosphere is family friendly, while fresh and increased food options, updated games and All You Can Play passes make it the perfect location for a family night out that appeals to the whole family.
