Once you’ve purchased your kit (arrives within 3-5 days of purchase), you simply collect saliva in the collection tube, mail it back in the prepaid package and within 6-8 weeks you receive results. Results are received via an email in which you can log-in and discover what your DNA says about you. The process was ridiculously easy.
The hardest part is waiting for your results. I’m so excited to find out more and pour over the results and dive further into my families history. There’s just something so satisfying and fascinating about looking into your roots and heritage. It was so cool reading over all of the review testimonies, especially those who were adopted and have actually been able to contact and talk with some of their relatives who share similar DNA via 23andMe.

I’m fortunate enough to have had a grandmother who took up genealogy as a hobby and traced our ancestry back to the Mayflower and beyond! So that side of my family at least is covered.
