This high protein cookies and cream frappuccino recipe is oh-so-good, delicious and guilt-free! Keep reading below for this simple, quick frappe recipe and to see what my secret ingredient is!

Most days when 2pm rolls around, I’m hit with the midday slump. All motivation goes out the window, sweet cravings hit hard and I’m riding the struggle bus to continue to be productive. One of my favorite treats that I was craving too often was a sweet, icy frappuccino. Let’s be honest – most frappuccino’s are loaded with sugar and basically offer nothing nutritious. While I love my caffeinated treat, having one of them daily wasn’t going to help me stay consistent with my health and fitness goals so finding a healthier alternative was a must. This healthier-for-you cookies and cream frappe is a great midday pick-me-up drink that is loaded with lots of nutritious goodness and significantly lower sugar!

This cookies and cream frappuccino is SO easy to make, low sugar, and packs a mighty punch of protein and fiber thanks to my secret ingredient: FitJoy grain-free protein bars.

FitJoy protein bars are one of my most recent finds and I love these tasty grain-free and gluten-free bars! While I don’t completely avoid grains in my diet, I do try to mindful as too many can be tough on my body. Minimizing grains in your diet can have some great effects for those with sensitivities, such as more energy, happier stomachs (grains can cause inflammation and digestive issues for some) and potential weight loss.

You can pretty much always find a few bars in my gym bag or car and I love the “fun size” bars (1/3 size of regular bars) for nixing my sweet tooth in a pinch. They have different flavors for all my cravings too (cookies and cream, chocolate peanut butter, cookie dough brownie and grandma’s lemon square).

While I love FitJoy bars on their own, I found that they are perfect for adding great flavor and creamy texture for a yummy, healthier frappe! Adding just one FitJoy grain-free protein bar to this frappe adds a whopping 20 grams of protein and 14 grams of fiber to keep me full and energized for longer. This healthified frappe is great for mid-morning or mid-afternoon breaks. Since this time is usually when I sneak in a majority of my work (hello, WAHM nap time power work session!) and followed by my afternoon workout, I needed a snack that would give me some sustained energy to power through the rest of the day while also being something that would easily be digested. With the lower sugar content, you avoid the major sugar crash that comes with typical frappes too!
