How Keto Collagen Can Boost Your Health + How To Use It

Have you heard about the collagen superfood craze yet? If not, you need to!

For years I’ve heard amazing things about collagen, especially when it comes to skin health and appearance. In years past, the use of collagen always focused on applying it topically (such as in a moisturizer or mask), but recently there has been a huge push and tons of chatter about adding it to our diets and how there are so many amazing benefits to it.

So what exactly is collagen and what are the benefits?

What is collagen?

Collagen is essentially a protein that is derived from bovine connective tissue & bones. Think of collagen as the cement that holds our bodies together. Collagen is the bodies building blocks and makes up about 30% of the proteins in our body.

Originally, the collagen craze began as people added bone broth to their diets. While I love me some bone broth, it’s not always convenient. The use of supplemental collagen powders (such as Keto Collagen from Ancient Nutrition) is a definite bonus as it is super easy to incorporate into my day to day life. Also, the thought of slurping on bone broth while it’s 85 degrees and humid as heck, doesn’t seem all that appealing so having a simple to use supplement is a must.

I’ve been using Keto Collagen from Ancient Nutrition and I really love all the great ways that it supports my health with a major boost of grass-fed beef collagen and medium chain triglycerides (MCTs) from coconut. The addition of MCTs, which you don’t find in most collagen powders, is great for those on a ketogenic or paleo diet or simple anyone that is looking to amp up their energy while also supporting weight management.

Ways that Keto Collagen can boost your health:

Great Source of Protein

Keto Collagen has 15 grams of collagen protein per serving, 3 grams of fat and 0 grams of carbs!

Great Support for Ketogenic Diet

The ketogenic diet is a low-carb, high-fat and moderate-protein diet that shifts the body’s metabolism away from carbs and towards fat and ketones, putting the body into a metabolic state called ketosis. In short, it positions the body to burn fat as fuel. The combination of beef collagen and MCTs in Keto Collagen are perfect for boosting fat burning (metabolism booster) and increasing mental clarity.

How To Use Keto Collagen

Supplementing with Keto Collagen superfood powder is one of the easiest ways to add collagen into your diet. The powder is tasteless and easily can be added into your daily coffee, tea, matcha, smoothie, energy bars and bites. Simple mix 1 heaping scoop into your drink of choice and mix well.
