When I first found out I was pregnant several years ago with my first baby, I felt so overwhelmed with all the choices I would face as a mother. There were so many options regarding birth, feeding, diapering, play, skin-to-skin, and so on. I spent countless hours surfing the web into the wee hours of the night educating myself on all these choices. It was during those searches that I really started to question all the ingredients in our products, and especially those that I would be using on my child(ren). In this transition period into motherhood is when I became a bit of a crunchy mom. With so many things being out of our control as moms, being chemical free is one choice that I can make. Thankfully, WaterWipes understands the importance of nothing coming between baby and you.

I researched about natural childbirth, breastfeeding, cloth diapering, babywearing, natural childcare products (like diaper wipes, toys, cleansers, etc.) and kangaroo care. Kangaroo care is the method of holding a baby that involves skin-to-skin contact. Baby is naked except for a diaper and a piece of cloth covering his or her back, is placed in an upright position against a parent’s (yep, dad can do it too) bare chest. I remember instantly feeling both of my babies relax when we did skin-to-skin. It was easily the fastest way to calm them down when upset and lull them to sleep as newborns.

The WaterWipes Pure Love video shows all the amazing benefits of skin-to-skin.

I love how WaterWipes understands the importance of  chemical free products, especially when it comes to the sensitive skin of your babies and toddlers. WaterWipes are the only chemical free baby wipes and only contain 2 ingredients (99.9% pure Irish water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract).

Their wipes are incredibly effective at cleaning up the many extreme messes that you encounter as a mom. They’ve been durable enough to clean up the messiest newborn poo’s, sticky fingers and faces, potty training messes, and I’ve been guilty of snagging them to help remove my own makeup after a long day of running after the kids. I love that I can use WaterWipes as a safe, hypoallergenic and natural baby wipe option without fear of exposing their sensitive skin to any questionable ingredients (or worry when I find the toddler chewing on one!).
