Rice Krispies Christmas Tree Treats

These adorable Rice Krispie Christmas tree treats are the cutest holiday treat! Perfect simple treat to make with kiddos, delicious and perfect for sharing with family and friends!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows or 10 oz package of puffed marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies
  • 6 drops green food coloring may need to adjust with more or less coloring depending on brand
  • small pretzel sticks
  • icing and/or frosting
  • sprinkles

Instructions
 

  • In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Add food coloring and stir until mixed well. Remove from heat.
  • Add Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated.
  • Using a buttered spatula, evenly press mixture into 13x9 inch pan or deep cookie sheet that's been coated in cooking spray.
  • Cut into triangles.
  • Add pretzel stick to bottom of triangle for tree base. Decorate with sprinkles and icing.
