These ham and pineapple sliders are a family favorite! Buttery slider buns combine with savory ham, sweet pineapple and cheesy goodness for an effortless & mouthwatering meal that everyone loves!

As the holidays approach, our days are getting more and more packed. When our schedules get packed and the to-do list becomes longer, I love having tried and true recipes that I can depend on for delicious meals that I can quickly put together for my family. This recipe for ham and pineapple sliders is so ridiculously easy to make and everyone loves it. I love pairing it with a simple side dish (sharing one of my favorites below) for a well-rounded, quick and yummy dinner.

This recipe is one that we go to often, especially around the holidays. For years, we’ve had these as a Christmas eve meal. It’s simple to prepare that allowed us to have a yummy meal as a family without spending the day in the kitchen so we can spend more time enjoying the holidays instead.

In under 30 minutes you can easily put this meal together and it easily serves a large family. Simply layer ingredients: bun, ham, pineapple, cheese, mayo, top bun and brush with a delicious buttery garlic topping and bake. They come out super cheesy and the ham and pineapple combo is oh-so-good! I love pairing them with a super simple side and one of my favorites is Paisley Farm 5 Bean Salad.

There’s always something so nostalgic about 5 bean salad. Throughout my childhood, I remember visiting my grandma and often 5 bean salad would be a simple side that she would have ready for us to enjoy. Every time I serve Paisley Farm 5 Bean Salad to my family it’s always a heartwarming reminder of the fun and memories we made around the table (we had some pretty competitive Scrabble games) with family and my grandma many years ago.

Paisley Farm products are a pantry staple for us (we purchase it at Meijer, but it’s available at many stores). I love their easy to and ready to serve dishes for serving alongside simple meals for a quick and tasty vegetable and bean side dishes. The five bean salad has the best combo of fresh green, kidney, garbanzo, pinto and wax beans. The vibrant colors of the beans (and the great texture) are a testament to their freshness with a timeless flavor that complements any meal. I love that I can open up a jar, and serve them for less work and more time to enjoy with family and friends.

We always serve Paisley Farms 5 Bean Salad with these ham sandwiches. The sweet and tangy flavor just pairs well with this dish. The simple pour and go of Paisley Farm dishes are a major helper in making my busy days just a little bit easier and less stressful. Be sure to check out all the different sides that they have available to make your busy days easier and more flavorful: Asian and 5 bean salads (my favorite!), brussel sprouts, beets and marinated mushrooms!

For these sandwiches, there are a lot of modifications and variations that you can make to suit your family and tastes best:

What Kind Of Ham?

This recipe is a great way to use up leftover ham. I love using hickory ham and add a little flavor but tossing it in my cast iron pan to sauté (totally don’t have to do, but gives a deep and rich flavor). You can also use honey ham or deli ham.

Extra Toppings…

There are lots of fun additions you can add! Jalapeños are a great add on for a little kick!

Do I have to use the butter topping?

Nope, but it gives such a delicious flavor and a delicious crunch the the buns! If wanting to cut down on calories or fat content, simply omit.

Can I use a different cheese?

Absolutely! I love sharp Vermont, but provolone or swiss cheese would be great options as well.

Can this be made ahead of time?

Yes! Make as directed, but omit adding butter topping until right before baking.
