As a relatively new blogger, I feel like I’m constantly learning and evolving as I adapt to the blogging world. Blogging is one of those spheres that are constantly changing, and staying abreast of new social media, tactics and products is a huge part of the job. When I first started this blog a little over a year ago, I had no idea where it would take me, how much time and effort it would take, and lastly, how much I would grow to love it and the amazing community of strong women that I have “met” along the way. When I first heard of the BlogHer ’17 conference, I knew that I had to make it happen! I remember hearing about it last year and wanting to go, but my daughter was only 6 months at the time and I wasn’t feeling comfortable enough to go. Now that she is older, I made it a priority to go this year and can’t wait. As the conference nears, I’m finalizing all my travel plans, packing and working on making the most of my trip. I feel like not only is it a learning experience, but an extended girls weekend and a chance to have some “me time”. I haven’t traveled without my children, so I plan on making the absolute most out of this time to enjoy, but also be as productive as possible. While I love traveling, traveling doesn’t love me. I’ve always struggled with motion sickness and it often made me useless during times of travel. Whether I’m traveling by car, plane, train or boat, once we start moving my head starts spinning and I find myself immobilized and unable to do much of anything besides sit out the waves of nausea or lulling myself to sleep to escape the discomfort. I have countless tales of traveling and spending much of the travel time with my head in a barf bag (my apologies to the poor old man that was seated next to me on a flight where I was violently ill for the first hour and a half – I’m pretty sure that ranks up there with one of the most embarrassing moments in my life). Not only is it exhausting for me to feel so terribly sick during travel, but also tough on my friends and family (and strangers) that have to witness it.

Yet another trip, where motion sickness stole away moments of joy from me. The ferry ride to Mackinac Island definitely made my motion sickness rear its ugly head. Thankfully, this view and sweet baby made it all worthwhile.

There’s nothing worse than having hours of travel and being unable to enjoy them or use that time productively. While some over the counter medications helped a bit, they would always render me useless the rest of the day as they made me sleepy and zoned out feeling. Thankfully, I’ve discovered Dramamine® Non-Drowsy Naturals! It’s the first non-drowsy solution for motion sickness from Dramamine®, America’s number one over-the-counter product for the treatment of motion sickness. One dose contains the full clinically-tested ginger dosage for the prevention and treatment of motion sickness. Since it’s made from natural ginger, it’s safe to use every day you travel which means I can fully use all of my travel time to enjoy every single moment instead of spending it suffering from motion sickness. As I pack for BlogHer and other summer travels, Dramamine® Non-Drowsy Naturals is a must-have for my travels. In fact, I keep it in my purse at all times for all my summer plans. When I know I’m about to embark on an adventure, I take a few capsules and say goodbye to nausea and vomiting associated with motion sickness. I’m looking forward to be able to take advantage of all the hours of my plane and car travel time to and from BlogHer without the worry of motion sickness getting in the way of being productive. Instead of spending all those hours wishing the time away due to sickness, I plan on sitting back to enjoy a good book or spending some quality time catching up on work and working on blog posts. I take huge comfort in knowing that I can arrive at the conference ready to network, connect and learn with so many other amazing bloggers without feeling worn down and weak from motion sickness during my travels.
