Crisp air, falling leaves and fresh apples means one thing: sweet treats!
One of my favorite things about fall is all the delicious, decadent desserts that are loaded with fall flavors. While pumpkin flavors often get the spotlight, other fall flavors like apples, caramel, chocolate and nuts have a special place on my palate and are often highlighted in many fall dishes. One of my favorite recipes to make for friends and families are these loaded caramel and chocolate apple nachos.
For years, I’ve been making these decadent loaded apple nachos! They are the perfect dessert or after school treat to put together in little time and everyone gobbles them up. To make it even better, they take only 10 minutes to make!
These loaded, sweet apple nachos combine the tartness of granny smith apples, with sweet, rich caramel and semi-sweet chocolate syrup. Salty pretzels and nutty almonds are the perfect contrast to the drizzly, sweet sauces for a flavor that can’t be beat.
Caramel candies have a special place in my heart and make me reminisce about my high school days. Do you ever have a food that brings you back to a memory? The delicious chewy caramel and cream center of Caramel Creams do just that! Their candies were always a favorite in our school store (especially the Cow Tails) and remind me of the days of school dances, high school shenanigans, football games and so much more.
Now onto the good stuff: the recipe!
While I used Goetze caramels in this recipe, you can totally use pre-made caramel or chocolate to make this recipe even easier for an ultra-quick sweet treat! You’ll quickly fall in love with this yummy fall-inspired treat!
